Completely Inappropriate Probably

One member of our household was especially excited about the arrival of the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

No, not Matt. Kate. Our sweet little Kate.

Uh-oh.

That's What She Said

Yesterday, the four of were playing around in the loft when Annie decided it was time to move on to a new game. So she said to me and Matt:

"This is the situation guys. You are all gonna hide.

"And you want to know the funny part? There's nothing you can do about it."

Then she wagged her finger at her us and threw a blanket over our heads while Matt and I doubled over with laughter. Where does she get this stuff?

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

OK, well not really planes. But, just when I think I'm going to lose it if I see one more pink, princess, frilly, girly something that I have to play with Annie, she decides she loves trains. And Cars. Annie got a train starter set for Christmas, and she earned more tracks with good behavior last week. Now we spend toddler eternities making tracks around the family room and pushing the "chuggers." She also got the movie Cars for Christmas. I swear she'd watch it twice a day, every day if I let her.

Yes, she's playing trains in a Cinderella dress. At least I didn't have to be her prince during this game.

That's What She Said

Annie says a lot of funny stuff.

Today, she was punished for a number of infractions, so we did not go to story hour at the library. Her appeal that we should indeed go was quite lengthy. But her main point was really less about her own wants and more about making others happy.

"But Mom, the other children will miss me."

Cute Kate

I may be biased, but I swear this kid gets cuter by the day.
And, she loves necklaces.

Quiet Time Fun

Annie got a few new puzzle/puzzle games for her birthday. She loves them and has been working on them every day during quiet time. A few days ago, she refused to clean up these two in particular and kept saying, "I have to do these for my grandparents."  So thanks Grandma and Grandpa Ralls for keeping Annie busy with the new puzzles. She put some together just for you!

P.S. She did her hair herself after she got out of the bathtub. Isn't it lovely?
