Things We Also Did In Florida

We went swimming.

Annie and Kate refuse to actually swim, but they jumped into the water in 1,000 different ways and came up with so many ridiculous games we all had to play.

Also, Kate picked that bathing suit out at the store herself. She thinks it is the greatest thing ever and could not be more pleased with her efforts. I love it.

Evie was not as big a fan of the water as her sisters. She spent a little more time wrapped in her towel, laying in the sun. If you've ever met her or read this blog at all, this should not surprise you.

Aunt Ruthie was not happy I took this photo with her goggles on. She was such a good swim buddy, though! She led the girls in exercises and gave in to all their ridiculous requests. She happily swam like a mermaid and bounced like a monkey!

Annie made me take no less than 50 pictures of her jumping in with different poses.

Evie was relaxing on this float. And she fell in about a second after I snapped this.

As is her style, it took Kate a little bit to warm up to it, but then she was jumping into the water like a champ.

Disney Day Two

Our second day at Disney was our fifth day in Florida. The girls were super crabby on the ride there, and it was HOT.

We started out waiting to see Belle and her Enchanted Tale.

Evie was not pleased.

And she didn't love Belle.

 

But her sisters did! Belle's Enchanted Tales was my personal favorite. The effects were amazing. Lumiere behind Belle moved and talked and was pretty amazing.

They found this little door in Belle's village, and they were just begging the fairies to come out.

Annie wanted the evil stepmother and stepsisters to see her Cinderella doll. They were appropriately disgusted. Annie very happily yelled, "Mom! They made faces at me!"

Yes, it was as hot and sweaty as we look. We took a break on the people mover.

We also happened upon this parade at just the right moment.

 

The girls were screaming the character's names and waving. Everyone should take a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old to Disney. It's awesome.

This parade extra loved their dancing.

 

Then, it was finally time. They'd been waiting for months.

We had dinner in Cinderella's Castle.

All the princesses came around to meet us.

Evie was obviously really into the princesses.

Matt said she was photobombing all our photos. It was true. That child is a mess at all times.

Even dessert was exciting. They had Mickey shaped sprinkles.

We stayed for the fireworks the second night. Evie literally passed out right before they started, and Kate was done directly after. Worth the physical labor and stress, though. The fireworks were pretty cool, and the girls got to see Tinkerbell fly down from the castle.

 

Overall, it was hot, sweaty and a ton of work. But it was worth it. They girls loved it. The looks of delight on their faces was priceless.
