Our Ballerina

Kate took ballet class this year with a few of her little buddies. She loved it. She was always attentive and quiet and tried her best to mimic her teacher, Miss Rhonda. Miss Rhonda was also nice enough to let Evie join in the last part of class every week, and Kate was so excited. She would hold her hand and try to teach her the steps. Adorable.

They had their end of year recital a few weeks ago. Kate was a flower fairy, and she was awesome.

Sometimes I do just feel like these are all my kids :)
(In a good way Julie!)

They are both looking silly, but Kate and Steve are such good buddies. We invited the Debrahs to come to the recital if they were interested. They did, and Steve also brought Kate flowers to give her after the show! It was so cute. (He also brought flowers for Jillian, who was also in their preschool class when he found out she was dancing, too. Heartbreaker.)

Kate and her friend Sydney. Kate and Sydney have been taking ballet together for awhile now. Sydney has a brother's Evie's age and very nice mom. Kate gets excited to see her but generally refuses to talk to her.

Kate's Last Day of School

Kate on her last day of 3s Preschool

Steve and Kate. Their very last carpool.

It was Ice Cream Social Day, and even Evie got to join in!
Kate was so sweet and excited Evie was there. She went out of her way to get a chair for her, so Evie could sit with her.

Kate, Miss Sue and Kate's buddy Jillian.
We missed Miss Sherry somehow :(

Jillian and Steve are Kate's best buddies. Neither of them are going to be in her class next year.  Jillian will go to the other elementary school (Annie and Jill's brother go to different schools), and Steve is moving out of our town. So, Kate is really bummed. I'm bummed, too. Aren't they adorable?!

She drew me a picture on her last day.

So did Evie and Steve :)

Things We Also Did In Florida - Part 2

We also rode on the golf cart and went to the square to dance with Papa and Aunt Ruth.
Matt and I think The Villages is the happiest place on earth because of the squares and the dancing and the happy hour. We are on a mission to get everyone we think is fun to retire there with us.

The golf cart was so exciting.

Dancing at the Happy Hour. The weather was questionable and most of the old folks have gone home, so the girls were putting on quite the show.

Papa and Evie were solid dancing partners.

As were Daddy and Kate.

I love that Papa is sporting his Tribe hat in all the photos. Cleveland Pride.

She is as mischievious...

as she is sweet.

Papa might be in traction after a week's worth of our girls never leaving him alone ever.

Sisterly love.

We tried the new square, so we had some more dancing friends the last night.

Annie and Papa finishing strong.

Papa, Evie and Neely, Jackie's dog.
I love this photo. And I'm pretty sure it's going to make Jackie's wall of fame.

We were there the day before Memorial Day, so Papa was prepping his lawn decorations and the girls were saluting Aunt Jackie.

Thank you for a wonderful week, Papa and Aunt Ruth! We owe you about 100 mini bags of chips, a few dinners and a bunch of laundry. But we had such a wonderful visit, and we can't wait to see you again this summer!
