St. Patrick's Day

I am woefully behind on my posts lately.

We were in Cleveland on St. Patrick's Day, after picking up a very tired Matt from the airport (we'll get to that later) and celebrating my cousin Bill's very lovely wedding. We decided to stay to let the girls take in their first Cleveland St. Paddy's Day parade. It was pretty cold, but the day worked out perfectly!

My girlies. Starting their photo-a-thon.

Grandpa.

Gigi.

Uncle Matt.

Mama.

Blogger is so annoying. This is Annie watching the parade.

It looks like Allison is photo bombing because she's hiding under hood, but she belongs with us :)

Thanks for this awesome and not annoying at all horn Gigi and Grandpa!

Quick fire truck adventure.

Evie was wiped out! She slept on Pa after all the festivities for awhile!!

Holy Smoke

This picture refuses to turn. So, anyway, Kate was very serious about her Pope watch this week. The girls talked about the conclave at church school, and we talked about it at home. Kate was intrigued. She passed on cartoons in favor of watching for white smoke from the Sistine Chapel chimney. Honestly. She didn't even want to go to the bathroom in case she  missed it. She told me to pause it if I saw any smoke.
Once we saw the smoke, she was equally eager to see the face of the new Pope. I ran upstairs to get Evie from her nap while we waited for him to appear. She heard on tv what name he had chosen while I was gone, so she came running up yelling "He's Francesco!"
As I am a big news geek, it was really fun to have a day to Pope watch with my Kate! Maybe we have a budding journalist on our hands. Or a nun. :)

Yep, That Pretty Much Sums It Up

I just wanted to get a few pictures of the three of them together last weekend.

Annie and Evie happily sat down right away, but then Evie continued making ridiculous faces.

Kate insisted on taking a picture ALONE. Not with her sisters. By herself. Then she gave me dirty looks instead of smiling.

That's it. There's no good follow-up photos. They were not having it. They were outside playing, though, so at least we had something good going on!

That's What She Said

"Mom, you know what I was thinking?"

"What?"

"I could write songs and sing them on stage for a job."
