Big House Tour 2014

We took our annual summer tour of the Big House with the HOA again this summer. I realized later we are only going to be able to do this twice more, so we should invite some of Michigan loving friends next time. It's a really interesting tour! The kids love running around the locker room, the tunnel and the field.

Before we went into the locker room, Annie and Kate asked one of the tour guides (all very nice grandpa-type men) who he thought the best player was going to be this year. His answer was Devin Gardner and so the race was on to find his locker first. He was a special legends locker to go with his legends number.

Rainy Days

Every single time it rains, the girls ask to run in the rain. Temperature does not matter. 40 degrees? 80 degrees? Let's run in the rain! This summer has sadly offered plenty of opportunities to indulge them, so I finally said yes!

Annie organized this pose, as if I had to tell you that.

Evie was not sure about this whole thing at all. It took her awhile to warm up to it.

But she did, sort of.

Kate, always so thoughtful.

And Evie.

Kate Graduates From Preschool

As I write about Kate's preschool graduation, we are two weeks away from the start of kindergarten! Our sweet, smart Kate is on her way to real, big kid school. She is so excited. No matter how many times I tell her she can just stay home with me, she refuses :) We are so proud of Kate. She's a good friend and a good student at school, and we know kindergarten is going to be awesome.

She crossed a bridge and got a diploma.

It was so stinking cute.

Easter 2014

I honestly can't remember at all what we did on Easter this year. I can't decide if that's sad or hilarious. But it is what happens when you blog about Easter in August! I do remember that I specifically got the girls flats to wear instead of sandals like I normally do because it's always too cold. This year, however, was absolutely gorgeous!

Leaving some carrots for the Easter Bunny

Enjoying their treats!

All cleaned up for church!

Evie's bedhead still in full effect.

Sweet Kate.

Annie seems so grown up here.

Easter Eggs

Our annual Easter egg dye was a success. No eggs were broken nor eaten by the girls. Mom and Dad took care of both those things!

Getting ready!

Kate's fake smile

And her concentration!

What is better than three smiling girls in pajamas?! Nothing. Nothing at all.

The crazy one.

Easter Egg Hunt

A church in our town always does this adorable Easter Egg Hunt, preceded by a little play or video about the meaning of Easter and followed by lunch. The kids love it. They get a ton of eggs!

Annie was an egg gathering machine. She reached her quota (which was generous) fairly quickly and moved on to helping Eve.

This looks staged because it was. She was in such a frenzy collecting her eggs, I could not get her photo until she was done!

It was sunny.

Evie's friend Mae was there, too!
