When Annie was a baby, I swore she wouldn't have a complicated sleep routine, with a thousand beloved stuffed animals or any high maintenance needs.
What a joke. While she did and does go down easily, it's not without 500 bedmates. Our kids all sleep with multiple items they simply cannot live without out. Annie has had her Kitty since she was 15 months old, and Evie latched onto a favorite blankie by six months. Weirdly, Matt and I are sort of attached to them, too. First because they help the girls sleep, and second, they calm them when they are freaking out (for whatever reason).
A few weeks ago, Annie was asked to take a stuffed animal to school for the Valentine's Day for their pajama party. Annie chose to take a puppy my mom got her because it has a heart headband. We could't believe it! We kept trying to talk her into taking Kitty. We felt slighted on Kitty's behalf! Despite how dirty it usually is and how much it stinks if we forget it somewhere, we are oddly fond of it :)
So, here they are:
Evie, her blankie she holds, the blanket she sleeps under and Grover (she's not actually attached to Grover yet, but Matt is really hoping).
Oh, and also her pacifier. She is obsessed with pacifiers.
Kate, George, lovey, Happy Napper and blankey. Kate likes to refer to these things as her "stuffies."
Annie, lovey, Kitty, Happy Napper and her blankey. She used the blanket once when she was sick on the couch and wouldn't part with after that.
