Our Last Trip to Jenny's Farm

My parents came to visit last weekend and wanted to take the girls to a pumpking patch. We ended up being short on time, so we had to go to one of the two close ones. I tried to warn everyone about the reputation of Jenny's Farm these days, but the lure of their multiple activities and the fact that we went to the other one with my parents last year, led us back to Jenny's.

(Let's just say we didn't run into a single person we know because pretty much no one that lives around here goes there anymore. The "rides" are sort of dangerous, the kitchen is dirty and Mr. Jenny was in trouble for animal abuse recently).

Annie on the haystack.

Cutie Katiebug.

Grandpa and Evie.

Not feeling too cooperative for photos.

Gigi, Grandpa and the girls.

Mama and Kate.

On the very sketchy pony ride.

Kate refused to smile no matter how many pictures Matt took. Not that it's surprising, Kate has a way of cutting through the BS and that pony we put her on was making me a little nervous, too. It kept trying to push the wheel it was on faster. I had to walk away.

We also went on the hayride, during which Mr. Jenny himself drove and just poured his heart out to my dad. There was an accident there last year in which a horse pulling a hayride stumbled in the mud (said Mr. Jenny) and ended up pulling the driver off the hayride. She broke her back and the people on the hayride obviously freaked out, as they were being pulled by two gigantic draft horses with no driver. The horses just trotted back to where they were supposed to be, but still SCARY. Mr. Jenny felt the need to tell us, "Yeah, it was these two horses right here." That were pulling us. Whose giant hoofs were way to close to my babies for comfort. Also, he was telling my dad all about his animal cruelty problems (he is innocent) (obviously). Yikes!

Either way, it was entertaining! We probably won't be back, but thanks Mom and Dad for a fun afternoon!! :)
