Kate had a really fun birthday party at Goldfish Swim School, the adorable place where the girls take swim lessons. Kate was really excited. She invited some little buddies from preschool, some fun cousins and some old friends (for a four-year-old :) ). It seemed like everyone had a great time. Kate definitely did!
So, this picture. I don't even know who took it. We laughed and laughed about it after the party. Ed just looks so sad. We had so many competing ideas for captions.
Is Uncle Ed just sad time has passed so quickly and his darling niece is already four?
Does he hate fun and balloons and kids swimming?
Does he really just not give a damn for the whole state of Michigan?
Luckily, he cheered up and had a seemingly lovely time the rest of his stay. Thanks for coming Uncle Ed, whether you wanted to or not!! :)

Evie.
Grandma Ralls and Eve.
Goldfish has tons of fun stuff to play with. Sadly, with this age group, they nearly all required parental powering.
Crazy girls.
Emma, Kate and Annie.
Kate, Annie, Avery and Ashtyn.
Evie had a blast.
Kate got really nervous and shy as we sang Happy Birthday!
Adam enjoyed the cupcakes.
And I love this picture of Mallory and Kate.
Clearly, Kate is a lucky girl who had a fantastic birthday!
