To Kate, From Annie, With Love

Annie announced last week that she wanted to pick out her very own card to give to Kate on her birthday. At Target, we headed to the cheap card section, where I attempted to help Annie pick out a card. How about the cute one with the mermaid? No way, she said. Or the other one with the pink presents on the front? No.

Rather, Annie selected this card all her own and joyfully carried it around the store until we were ready to pay. She later colored it on her own and instructed me on what to write inside.


And so, her first official gift to her little sister:

Yes, it's a dog with an old fashioned camera and a camera bag. It reads, "Smile!"

"That's what happens every time I think of you."

And, we personalized it by writing,

"Happy Birthday Buggy. Love, Annie."
