Evie Does San Antonio

Eve and I headed to San Antonio, Texas last week to visit Jackie. We had a great trip. Texas was everything I thought it would be -- huge, hot, clean, fun and filled with Mexicans. Eve was an absolute angel the entire time. She hardly cried and barely protested at being dragged around every tourist attraction and shopping mall in the greater San Antonio area. She also tolerated having her picture taken approximately 1 million times. Here are a few:
Evie gearing up for her first flight. She slept the entire flight both there and back.

Aunt Jackie was so excited to meet Evie!

A winery in Gruene, TX, this cute, fun little town. It was real Texas.

Eve and Jackie at the Gruene Dance Hall, the oldest dance hall in Texas. People literally two-step there!

And speaking of two-stepping, Jackie joined in this little Mexican conga line while we were persuing the shops at a little flea market type place. She said she didn't want to be rude when they asked her to join in. It was great.

Embracing Texas.

I doubt Eve will remember the Alamo. (I know I am above that weak joke, but I could not resist.)

Finally, a small part of the Riverwalk. Jackie's friend Tina joined us for dinner.
All in all, it was a great trip. I also bought Annie and Kate cowboy boots, so stay tuned for some really cute pics ;)
