One day, Jackie and I took Annie and Kate to this huge waterpark called Schlitterbahn. People look at me like I'm saying something dirty (or my 5-year-old is saying something dirty), but that's what it's called. We decided to leave Evie at home, and that was the best decision of the day. Annie and Kate loved Schlitterbahn. They ran and swam and jumped and slid and tubed all day long.
And they looked rather adorable in these lifejackets.
A poor young boy learned a lesson in chivalry after his dad encouraged him to give this alligator to Annie and Kate. They were so excited. So, thank you little dude and kudos to your dad for teaching you to be nice. Girls are going to love you one day.
We also went to the San Antonio Zoo. It was highly ranked and it was great. But it was HOT.
My dad took the girls into the butterfly house. The one in Toledo is always closed, so they were happy.
He was quite the photographer in there, too.
It was raining these fuzzy little guys while we ate lunch. Kate surprised me by letting them crawl all over hands. Annie surprised no one by freaking out.
This is Eve's look to say that it's 95 degrees and she is so over the zoo.
Finally, we went on a cute little train ride that offered a lovely, cool breeze.
