Spring Soccer 2013

This spring, when were talking about what activities the girls wanted to do, we had a bit of a problem. Annie wanted to do everything, and Kate wanted to do nothing. We told Annie to narrow it down, and Kate that she had to pick at least one thing. She rejected soccer at first because "you have to run so much." However, she had a change of heart and decided that's what she wanted to do. Soccer also made the cut for Annie.

Annie was in the older league, with a practice during the week and a game on Saturday. Kate only played on Saturdays. They both did pretty well. Kate did great, actually. She is very deliberate and wants to make sure she's doing it right. She also has a bit of a competitive spirit. Annie did well, too. She complained she was tired a lot. And she told me "Soccer is fun, but not that much fun. I don't think I really like it." As if soccer is new to her. Regardless, they looked adorable in their little uniforms and shin guards.

We were out there for two hours every Saturday. We knew a lot of the kids in the league, and a lot of them ended up on my blanket this weekend. I'm like Jackie, acting like Mary Poppins. :) (I actually think my friend's adorable baby Nora was the draw. You can't even see her on my lap because the kids are all over her. It's ok. I'll take it!)

Annie looking like a geek. She refuses to pull her shorts down. Matt and I were embarrassed. Seriously, Annie, pull those things down.
