Disney World

As our final hurrah for Matt's lab time, we took the girls to Florida and spent two days at Disney World.
We took a million pictures of our kids with every character at the Magic Kingdom on every ride.
Here's Day 1.
You're welcome.

Just arriving. The obligatory picture in front of Cinderella's Castle.

Right when we got there, there was a parade going on. This is Evie spotting Minnie Mouse for the first time.
We have the same picture of Annie doing this four years ago. It's awesome.

She was so excited.

She was excited, too.

This is our most favorite picture from the trip.
This is what the Disney World Teacups are like when you are six.

This is what they are like when you are 31.

Kate picked out these Minnie "Bride" ears, as she called them. She wore them the entire day, and it was adorable.

It was hot. Eve was crabby.

The Dumbo Ride.

Meeting Daisy.

Evie spotting Minnie. Almost her turn!

The big girls hugging Minnie Mouse.

Eve was really excited, but then she realized that the characters are a little scary close up. She need Annie's help to be in this picture.

Donald Duck kissing Daddy.

Rapunzel's Tower. Annie said she thinks this is where the movie was made.

Rosetta the fairy was awesome. She talked to the girls for a long time. They loved it.
Thank God because we waited forever. (It was raining, too).

Evie just wasn't sure about Tinkerbell.

Tinkerbell!

We had dinner at Chef Mickey's. It was an insanely overpriced buffet, but the character visits were worth it. The girls loved it. Eve, again, would not go near a character close up without Mom or Dad.

After dinner we went back to the park for the light parade. Evie was not that excited about it.

But then she got it together.

We got rained on in the late afternoon, and it was so muggy the whole day. Evie's hair was out of control. It got super curly and unruly. Much like the child herself.

A solid effort on Day One!!

Oh. My. Gosh. I just LOVE them! Annie is so happy and innocent, it warms my heart. And Kate is so adorable and I love that she picked the bride ears and wore them all day long, even though Annie wasn't wearing any. You can show those pics at her wedding reception!:) And Evie is so funny, as always. You should have showed the pic of Annie watching the parade and compared it to Evie:) I LOVE them!!!
