Back to the Manleys

When we lived in Toledo, our friends the Manleys used to play with and watch Annie all the time. It's so hard to get together now that Garrett and Carolyn are older and busier, and Annie and Kate are older and busier. But, we were able to visit after we went to the zoo! Garrett is leaving for the Air Force Academy soon, which is so exciting and such an accomplishment. And Carolyn--well, I was trying to show her all the benefits of attending the University of Michigan in a few years ;) It was so great to see them as always!

They had a very new crop of little kittens to play with. For anyone who has actually been reading this blog from the start, you may remember that the day we moved from Toledo, the Manleys watched Annie and she played with tiny kittens then, too. It is safe to say that Annie has made great, great strides in her ability to be gentle and handle the kittens!

Annie loved this tiny little one. On our drive home, Matt and I were discussing how lucky we were that Annie didn't actually ask to take it home. We both agreed we would have been powerless against her and the cute kitten. Luckily, she was content to play with it only. For now. :)

More her mother's daughter every day, Kate was interested but not too terribly crazy about the kittens.

They also took us for a walk down to see their horses. Annie, Kate and their new little buddy Grace loved the horses!

Matt, not so much. They made him nervous.

Amy pushed Annie on the swing.

And Carolyn swung with Kate. It was a perfect visit.
Thanks again Manley Family. We missed you, and our next visit won't be so far away!
