Presents For Daddy

This year, I thought the girls were old enough to decide for themselves what they wanted to get Matt for his birthday. I asked Annie what she wanted to give him. She thought about it for a few seconds, and then she said, "Socks." OK.

So we went to Meijer, and Annie picked out a lovely three-pack of black dress socks. She even grabbed the right size. Kate wanted to make a game time decision. Once the socks were in hand, I asked Kate what she wanted to get. She looked across the aisle and yelled, "Perry the Platypus pants!" And so, for his 30th birthday, Matt received socks and cartoon pajama pants. And he loved them.  Really, girls, when you are reading this when you are older, Daddy thought your gifts were both hilarious and thoughtful, and he really loved them. He wore them both that very night. :)
