Christmas Treats

I've been a bad blogger, I know. :)

Leading up to Christmas, the girls and I pretty much hit every Christmas treat available. We made them all. And we sampled them all!

First, they made cookies with Gigi at her house.

They loved using the cookie cutters, especially if the cookie "popped up," which meant it stuck in the cookie cutter. Kate especially got very excited when this happened. She let us know every.single.time.

Their real favorite part of cookies -- the sprinkles!

We also made two kinds of chocolate covered pretzels at home. I wasn't planning on taking pictures that day, but I couldn't resist this one. Notice the sprinkles all over her mouth, as well.

And, of course, we had to make our own recipe Christmas cookies at home, too.

Don't they look adorable decorating those cookies? Too bad it didn't last long. We made around 90 cookies, and I frosted the majority of them by myself. They lost interest after about four cookies each. Thanks girls! :)

Finally, we made a treat that was purely for decoration. No sugar coma involved. Our annual gingerbread house. They were supposed to make this one with Matt, but he got called into work so I had to work on one last sugary project.

This year's house was actually our best looking effort to date, and they participated more than I did! Good job girls!
