I am very late on this post, but it took me awhile to steal the photos from my friend Kristy's Facebook page. :)
A few weeks ago, my friend Julie asked me to go shopping with her at a nice mall a few towns over. We went, and we had a great time. When we came home, this happened:
That's me, with my totally surprised and party terrified face when I walked in the door with all my stuff (which Julie did try to get me to leave in the car).
Matt threw me a surprise party!
Later, people kept asking if I was surprised. Really, if you can't tell from the look on my face: I was most certainly surprised!
It was crazy. I was totally taken aback. I was looking around our house, just seeing more and more of my old and new friends and family, many of whom had traveled quite a ways just to be there. It was so exciting. It was the best possible birthday present!
Here are some photos Kristy took while everyone was helping get ready for the party. I did not take a single photo. I think I was in shock all night, and I was way too busy talking and laughing and drinking.
Our friend Andrea got us this fabulous tent, which was perfect!
Annie and Kate "helped" decorate. From what I heard, they mostly bossed people around about the balloons. :)
And here are a few photos Kristy took of the girls. She takes such beautiful pictures!

It was such a fun night. I'm so lucky to have so many great friends and family who came to celebrate. And even luckier to have such a wonderful husband who worked so hard to make my 30th birthday so special!

Glad you were surprised and had so much fun! I wish I wouldn't have missed it! Looks like Matt did a good job!
