As I've been terrible at blogging, this is fairly old news. However, baby #4 is on the way and they are telling us he's a boy. We were pretty surprised, as at this point, we assumed we would only have girls :) Annie was hoping and hoping for a boy, while Kate and Evie were wanting another sister.
We found out he was healthy and a he in the afternoon, and we had told the girls we wouldn't tell them if they were getting a brother or a sister until Dad got home from work. It was a torturous few hours - for them and me! Matt stopped on the way and got them some blue balloons. We had them place their final guesses (all three guessed girl) with their eyes closed. Annie yelled, "A BOY?! Really?!" when she opened her eyes and saw the balloons. Kate seemed happy, and when we asked Evie if she was excited for a brother, she replied "I like balloons."
I'm about 25 weeks along now, so they've had some time to think about it, and everyone seems pretty excited. Annie is very committed to naming this baby herself, so that might be rough. The name we think we'll probably go with is not the one she wants. We keep telling her that in approximately 20 years, she can name her own baby!
We are all really happy and cannot wait for January!
And yes, Evie is wearing a princess dress. It does not matter if our house is getting infused with some testosterone or not -- there will be princesses around here for a long time!
