4th of July, Take 2

On the actual 4th of July, we went to to downtown Ann Arbor  for the city's annual parade. We'd never been, and it turned out to be great! It was sweltering hot that day, so everyone was cramming into the shaded areas. We were not so lucky as to get one of those coveted spots. However, standing in the sun did afford one major advantage -- no competition for the candy. Annie got tons of it!

Trying to take a picture of a 3-year-old and three 1.5-year-olds at a parade is not easy. Here we have Sadie (the only one cooperating), Kate ('s butt), Annie, and Steve.

It was really sunny and I forgot her hat. She didn't seem to care.

Dan and Steve celebrating America for today.

Annie decided to get back to her roots. Although, she does insist on calling it a "Gamerian" flag. Close enough.

This one is just cute. Notice the chocolate on her shirt and around her mouth. She rejected all candy except Tootsie Rolls, which she pronounces Toostie Rolls. Lucky for her, they threw millions of them.

Making silly faces in their silly hats.

Kate was swallowed by 4th of July enthusiasm.
