4th of July

For the first time since we've moved here, we're actually in Michigan for the 4th of July. We were invited to a bbq at some friends' house last night, and we had so much fun! They have the best backyard, and the girls completely wore themselves out running and jumping and being insane. Then, we watched the metroparks fireworks right from the backyard. It was perfect!

Later, the fireworks started and all the kids ran to the fence to get the best possible view.

Except Annie who was freaked out by the noise.

It just occurred to me that I never once even thought Kate might be scared of the fireworks. Never crossed my mind. Annie certainly was at this age. It's just not how Kate rolls. She wasn't scared here, she was just tired and wanted to lay on one of us. :)

Annie eventually did move up and join her buddies.
