We started finishing our basement a few weeks ago. We are essentially dividing the basement in half -- one side for storage and one side for a playroom. My dad and Matt built shelves on the storage first, so we could fit all our junk in there. Now, Matt is trying to frame the walls in around the playroom side. It's actually going up pretty quickly, and it will go even faster if any of our helpful blog readers want to take a trip to Michigan to help out! We'll feed you, and you'll never be thirsty. :)
Anyway, here are some obligatory before pics, so you'll all be wowed when we do finish the project.
The shelves.
The men.
The unfinished basement.
The wall they built to separate the rooms. And see that little area under the steps to the right of the door? Matt built that all by himself. He is also building some shelves into that area. Just in case medicine doesn't work out.
