1. She is bossy a leader. She loves telling her friends (and her sister) what do, how to do it and when it should happen. Last week, Callista's au pair was gracious enough to watch Annie and Kate for us. When we returned to pick them up, Anna said the girls were generally well behaved, but that Annie had spent most of the time telling Bella what to do and leading her around. I do'n't think it was mean or malicious. But....should we just start apologizing to Callista and Jason now for the trouble Annie is going to get in with Bella?
2. Punishment has little effect on her. Recently, she turned the stairway wall into her own personal canvas. I was not pleased, and I made her scrub the red crayon off the wall. Near the end, I decided to take a picture for this blog. When Annie saw me taking her picture, she turned, smiled and said "Cheese!" She didn't care at all.
3. She turned 3 just a month ago, and she already knows how to lie. On purpose. To get what she wants. After I told her that was not allowed to run around naked the other day (why do kids love being naked so much??), she said fine, but she had to go potty. A few minutes later, she came back and very sadly told me she had had an accident and there was tinkle all over the bathroom, her pants and her dress. As I helped her undress, Matt said he didn't believe her. So I checked her clothes. 100% completely, totally dry. She knew she'd get to take off her clothes if she peed in them, so she just told us she did. (And again, she seemed rather unfazed by her punishment. She usually takes more of a "oh well, better luck next time" approach).
So I guess time will tell... :)

Thank god you are back to blogging...I was having withdrawal.
Jason and I both laughed our heads off at this post...I do believe you are in trouble with Annie...and how hilarious she knew to lie to get her way!
I have said it before and I will say it again. I love this child. My preschool teacher told my mom that I was bossy and look at how well I turned out!
Oh my...we better not let Eli and Annie get together, because Eli seems to be following directly in her footsteps! What a little stinker she is!
