For the curious, here are the before and after x-rays of Kate's arm. The orthopedic surgeon used x-rays to determine where to position the pins, so they didn't have to make a big cut in her arm. She has some pretty good brusing on the arm now. You can see it if you peek down the cast, which is looking a little dingy already. White casts on one-year-olds are not the best idea. Today, she adorned it with a bit of ketchup.
This is the x-ray from the afternoon she broke the arm. You can see the break pretty clearly just above her elbow.
And sort of a bird's-eye view of the repaired arm (bent at the angle in which they casted her) and where they put the pins.
